Airflow Measurements Ltd. was originally established by Tony and Celia Leonard in 1973.

After completing his national service in the Royal Air Force Tony started out as a Junior Engineer at Metropolitan-Vickers Electrical Company progressing to become a Design Engineer and finally Chief Instrument Engineer, whilst also becoming a Chartered Electrical Engineer.

In 1973 Tony decided to fulfil his lifelong passion of starting his own business and built a wind tunnel which became the start of Airflow measurements. He still works in an advisory role and enthuses about all instruments, especially all types of airflow instruments.

In 2003 we achieved UKAS accreditation for air velocity, pressure, electrical and other physical measurements. We pride ourselves, as a family business, on giving individual care and attention to all our customers’ requirements.

We are a dedicated team and aim to cover all appropriate aspects of our client’s needs. Catherine is our Managing Director, Office manager and head of Sales, Sarah is in accounts and deals with the hire of equipment, Cath is in the service department and Rachael deals with all our UKAS and quality needs. Chris is the head of our calibration team working very closely with Tony.
